MeFiter project 2022-2025
This new service will enable a shared heritage to be passed on to as many people as possible, namely the unique and complementary film memories of different regions.

Film memories of territories – MéFiTer: a new range of innovative services for the conservation and promotion of the audiovisual heritage of territories - PIA 4 Theme 2 ‘Digitisation of heritage and architecture’
The Diazinteregio association was created in 2010 by the Cinémathèque de Bretagne, CICLIC and Normandie images to develop a shared database, initially created by the Cinémathèque de Bretagne, and adapted to atypical and heterogeneous collections composed of amateur and professional films in substandard formats and non-films.
Today, the association has 19 film libraries and audiovisual archive centres that use the DIAZ database. This network has been built around a mutualist and collaborative model adapted to structures with limited human and financial resources, but which require a ‘tailor-made’ tool for the conservation and promotion of their collections.
The MéFiter project, presented as part of the call for projects ‘Digitisation of heritage and architecture’, aims to transform the DIAZ tool into a comprehensive and innovative service that meets all the contemporary challenges of processing audiovisual archives and making them accessible. This new service aims to share a common heritage with as many people as possible: the unique and complementary film memories of the regions.
