MIRA

MIRA is a regional digital film archive that aims to save amateur films about the Alsace region or made by Alsatian people since the beginning of amateur film-making. These films reveal the untold history of the region and provide a more nuanced, detailed perspective, alongside official history documents. The original films are digitised at high resolution to preserve them. 

Today, MIRA holds over 350 collections and 5,400 films. These previously unseen films, full of memories and personal creativity, are the centrepiece of public events and projects. They are also used in exhibitions, audiovisual productions or for research.
